Cycling for Sustainable Cities – Webinar
July 27, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Cycling can play a huge role in creating more sustainable cities. But how do cities support the shift to more trips by bike and ensure everyone gets to enjoy the ride?
Join The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT) at Clean Air Partnership on Tuesday, July 27th, from 12 pm to 1 pm, for a special webinar with two international experts on making cities better for biking: John Pucher and Ralph Buehler, authors of the recent book Cycling for Sustainable Cities.
In this webinar, we will explore how cities and suburban communities can make cycling safe, practical, and convenient for all ages and abilities.
More about the presenters:
Ralph Buehler is Professor and Chair of Urban Affairs and Planning in the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech’s Research Center in Arlington, Virginia.
John Pucher is Professor Emeritus in the Urban Planning and Policy Development Program at Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.
They are co-editors of Cycling for Sustainable Cities.
