Middlefield Open Streets Pop-up Community Bike Booth
August 1 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
This year the City of Markham is opening Middlefield Rd. from Highglen Ave. to Denison St. for active use as part of their Get Active initiatives to help residents stay active and physically distant during COVID-19.
Markham Cycles will be setting up a community booth at the north end of Middlefield Rd. We will be offering simple repairs and quick fixes to help you continue riding, as well as a table for information regarding cycling in Markham.
We will also be offering bike loan for the duration of the booth. Please bring your own helmets, sanitized helmets will be provided if you do not have one. Bikes availability is first come-first serve, bikes must be returned at the end of the booth. If you would like to loan a bike for longer, please check out our Bike Lending Library.
Hours: 12:00PM – 4:00PM
Location: Middlefield Rd. and Highglen Ave.
Please wear a mask and maintain a 2-metre physical distance between yourself and others while attending the booth.
Repairs available include adjusting brakes, oiling chain, adjusting seat height, pumping up tires, and a safety check. For more major repairs, we will refer you to one of Markham’s local bike shops.
