Bike Rescue Program

Dedicated repair hours for aspiring mechanics to work on fixing bikes in rough shape that have been donated to the hub. This program is open to any community members interested in learning how to fix mechanical issues on bikes in a comfortable and encouraging environment. The participants learn more advanced bike repair skills and refurbished bikes are returned back into the community.

Bike Rescue takes place on Tuesdays, 1pm-5pm.

This program runs from July to the end of August.

This year, we have partnered with the Centre for Immigrant and Community Services (CICS) Youth Centre. Bikes donated and refurbished will support the Cycle the City program, where newcomer youth are loaned a bicycle and participate in training sessions throughout the summer. Depending on the availability of bikes, youth who successfully complete the program may have the opportunity to keep a refurbished bicycle at the end of the summer.
