As part of City of Markham’s ongoing initiative to help residents stay active and physically distant during COVID-19. Markham and its partners are closing and restricting traffic on some streets, creating cycling programs and routes – all designed to help keep us active and mobile and to explore different parts of the city as we #SupportLocal businesses. For more detail about Markham’s Get Active initiatives, click here.
Markham Cycles will be setting up pop-up community bike booths at these locations offering simple repairs and quick fixes to help you continue riding as well as booth for information regarding cycling in Markham.
We have also partnered with the Centre for Immigrant & Community Services this year to offer community booths at their Markham locations.
Please check our calendar for our schedule and locations.
Please wear a mask and maintain a 2-metre physical distance between yourself and others while attending the booth.
Repairs available include adjusting brakes, oiling chain, adjusting seat height, and pumping up tires. For more major repairs, we will refer you to one of Markham’s local bike shops.
Due to high demand, we stop accepting bikes 30 minutes before closing.
Inclement weather policy:
Booths will be cancelled if significant rain or unfavorable weather is forecasted for the day of the event.
Decision will be made no less than 2 hours before the scheduled event
